scavenging and rehabilitation


தோழர்களே, அருந்ததியர் இயக்கங்கள் சில பொழுது துப்புரவு மற்றும் தோல் தொழில் செய்வோர்களுக்கு மறுவாழ்வு என்று கூறுவார்கள். முதலில் மறுவாழ்வு  என்றால் என்ன. இவர்கள் மர்ருவாழு என்று சொல்லும் பொழுது, இந்த சாதி தொழிலில் உள்ள இழிவை போக்க வேண்டும் என்று கூறுகிறார்கள். தொழிலை ஒளிபதால் சாதி ஒழியாது என்பது அனைவரும் அறிந்ததே. மற்றும் எத்தனை அருந்ததியர் இயக்கங்களுக்கு தொல்தொளில் மற்றும் துபரவு பணிபுரியும் நமது சகோதரரின் பிரச்சனைகள் தெரியும். இந்தகட்டத்தில்  வீடியோ வை அனைவரும் பார்க்க வேண்டும்.
இப்படி இருக்க, நான் அண்ணன் அதியமான் சொல்லும் கருத்தை நம்ப்புபவன், அதாவது, அருந்ததியரின் விடுதலையே அனைவரின் விடுதலை என்று குருவார். ஆனான் நமது இயக்கங்கள் ஒரு மாற்று அரசியலை பார்க்க வில்லை.  பறை அடிக்கும் பறையர்கள் தங்களது பறையை ஆயுதமாக கொண்டார்கள். நம்மால் அதை  செய்ய இயலாது. தொடபதை ஏந்திக்கொண்டு போராட முடியாது என்பது பரவலாக உள்ள கருது. நமது சமுகம் இந்த தொழிலை செய்யும் பொழுது, அந்த தொழிலை ஏற்று கொண்டு செய்யவில்லை என்பதும் அனையவரும் அறிந்ததே. மற்றும் தொழிலே விட்டுட்டு வெளியில் வந்தால் இன்னமும் மோசமாக தான் வாழு நாடாகும் என்பதை தோல் தொழில் செயும் நமது சொந்தங்களை க்கிடால் தெரியும். அதாவது, அரசாங்க வேலையும் போய் ஒரு ப்ரோச்சனமே இல்லை. சாதி ஒழியாது. ஆகவே சாதி ஒலிப்பே இந்த மக்களின் விடுதலை. ஆகா ஒன்று இப்பொழுது புரிந்துகொலவேண்டு என்னவென்றால் சாதி ஒளிபேய் தான் முன்னிருதவேண்டும். அதை விடுத்தது மறு வாழ்வு என்று இந்த மக்களை  கேவலபடுதாதிர்கள். 'மறு வாழ்வு என்பது அருந்ததியர்களை ஒடுக்கி ஆளும் சமுகத்துக்கு தான் வேண்டுமே தவிர இந்த மகளுக்கு வேண்டியது இல்லை. 
மற்றும் அருந்ததியர் இயக்கங்கள் இட ஒதிக்கீடு வாங்கி விட்டார்கள் பிறகு என்ன, இந்த தோல், துப்புரவு, பண்ணை கூலிகளாக இருக்கும் நமது சகோதரருக்கு என்ன தீர்வு? 

நமது இயக்கங்கள் தனித்து நிற்க வேண்டும், மாற்று அரசியல் அப்பொழுதுதான் வரும். 

என்பது எனது தால்மேய் உடன் கருத்து.

மோசமான உத்தியாகும். அருந்ததிய சமூகத்தினரை தனித்து நிர்ப்பாட்டுவதில்தான் இது கொண்டு போய் விடும். தீண்டாமை ஒழிப்பு முன்னணியைக் குறை சொல்வதில் கூடுதல் கவனம் செலுத்துவதை விட்டுவிட்டு சமூகப் பணிகளில் கவனம் செலுத்துங்கள்.

let the untouchability front appoint an arunthathiyar as their head and then talk about caste. and also i would request people to discuss the point and then reject the arguments.

TNUEF acts on collective responsibility. The President does not act on his own. You can confirm from the various Dalit organisations' heads who are all part of the Front.

i dont believe in collective resposiblity, rather i believe in equal presentation. which the untouchablity eradication front lacks any vision. and you never answered why arunthathiyar is not appointed as a leader of that organization.

I do not c any difference between collective responsibility and equal presentation. Infact, collective responsibility is more forceful. Whatever v hav achieved is through involving everyone irrespective of their castes. V organised a big rally in Chennai in which 25,000 people took part in 2008. This is to force the government for granting sub-quota for Arunthathiyars. Every part of the society took part in that rally. This was one of the reasons for granting sub-quota.

As far as an Arunthathiyar leading the TNUEF, yes... it is a good idea. But the evolution should take place within the organisation. At the moment, Mr.P.Sampath, President is doing an excellent job. Mr.Athiyamaan, Mr.Jakkaiyan, Mr.Ravikumar, Mr.V.Perumal and many others are functioning as Vice Presidents and Secretaries. Mr.V.Perumal was fielded by CPI(M) when the by-election to Thondamuthur(which is not a reserved constituency) took place. I do not find any appreciation to this in your blog.

As I said earlier, "தீண்டாமை ஒழிப்பு முன்னணியைக் குறை சொல்வதில் கூடுதல் கவனம் செலுத்துவதை விட்டுவிட்டு சமூகப் பணிகளில் கவனம் செலுத்துங்கள்." The Front is doing its own job. If you do not want get involved with the Front, keep doing the job in your way. Nothing wrong in it. Just fiddling on what TNUEF is doing, will do nothing good for the cause of social justice. There is a core difference in collective responsibility and equal representation. Take the case of Congress, they show themselves as collective responsibility(which is not in the higher rank) but they give useless position for representation politics on the ground.Therefore collective responsibility will previal with equal representation in all levels. I would say there is a so-called upper caste collective responsibility in the higher level and the useless position are given to equal representation. Highlighting dalit as a speaker is not a collective responsiblity rather representation politics. However they claim they are collective responsibility. I It is the same with the left higher authority, where most are brahmins.
I agree some facts which you have mentioned, but i have a serious of questions, why is all arunthathiyars put as vice-president and the president is from non-Dalit community. I salute for the contribution for organizing a mass rally and campaign for sub-quote within SC's. But tell me how many years have been the left fighting for Arunthathiyars, what was the context made the left to focus arunthathiyar in this last few years. And why they do not focus on pallars and pariyars. Is that because they are political community. Arunthathiyars do not have land, is the TNUEF ready to fight for panchami land. I am ashamed that if a dalit takes an issue it doest not attain a national significance only when yechuray comes to tamil nadu and talks of dalit, the issue becomes a national significance. Does that mean only yechury has the knowledge of dalit or a savior. In this context i would say will you support Ram Dev's protest, because it has a large audience support. The so-called brahmin medias takes the issue and decides which is major and important issue. Dont you think that a critical understanding of TNUEF is a sign of a productive politics. Whatsoever, you may say brother, left can never justify of not filing an arunthathiyar candidate in loksabha elections.
The recent left in Tamil Nadu is reading Ambedkar and it is also teaching. I doubt what Ambedkar spoke on caste is completely misunderstood by the left. The core idea of an equal representation has not been followed. I doubt Dr.Ambedkar would never have kept an organization as untouchability eradication front, rather caste eradication front. There is a tremendous difference withing these two terms. Hope the left do understands.

Better read the struggles of TNUEF. The DMK led government was forced to announce a committee on Panchami land after the TNUEF convened a conference to retrieve the panchami land.

Who says the TNUEF did not fight for Pallars and Paraiyars. Uthapuram, Villur, Kangiyanur, Chettipulam, Thachur and many instances are examples. In Manjolai struggle there were 18 martyrs. Had it been 19, that would have been V.Palani who got head injury. He is defeated by just 605 votes and the Athi Tamizhar Peravai's candidate has got 1,000 votes. Add to this, TNUEF is trying to organise Pudhirai Vannar community.

When I talk about CPI(M), you talk about Congress which does not have any democratic process in its organisation. BJP had Dalit President for a while, What was his contribution towards social justice?

To your serious question, TNUEF is for social justice. Now, u say, non-Dalit community head. The General Secretary of TNUEF is from Dalit community. If you go by the hierarchy in the Left organisations, the post of General Secretary will figure on the top. He co-ordinates the people and organisations.

Sure I ll read the struggle of TNUEF, which rejected to offer beef in the meetings(but agreed to serve), which asked arunthathiyar to organize a function to 'glorify' TNUEF for getting 3% reservation. And also which never recognized the arunthathiyar's role in 3% reservation. Especially, Aathi Thamilar Peravai, and Mathivanan's book on inner reservation. I would be happy if you could send me some material, and at least suggest to read on TNUEF. I would also request you to read, mathivanan's, adhiyaman' book and some more books. If you require i ll send you a copy.

I think, I have answered every charge of you. Instead of accepting those, you keep coming with new charges. This is utter anti-TNUEF stand. It is the TNUEF that has mobilised other sections of the people in support of Social Justice. You follow the "Identity Politics", which we defy.

We do not believe only the Dalits can struggle for Dalits' cause. Bye.

I have not rejected TNUEF, but only i am keeping my criticism on the movement. I feel our argument is going on and on. Hence, i feel i will write a separate writing keeping you points in mind.
